The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The heart of an old man remains young in his love for two things, love of life and abundance of wealth."
حدثنا أبو مروان محمد بن عثمان العثماني حدثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه
إن رسول الله ﷺ قال قلب الشيخ شاب في حب اثنتين في حب الحياة وكثرة المال
[Sahih] Qudai narrated it in Musnad Shihab 1/213, hadith 323, from the hadith of Marwan Uthmani, and Busiri graded it sahih. It has corroborating narrations in Bukhari, hadith 6420, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Zakat, chapter on the dislike of greed for this world, hadith 1046, and others narrated it as well.
