I spent the night at the home of my aunt Maymunah. The Prophet ﷺ got up and performed ablution from a waterskin, using only a small amount of water. I got up and did exactly as he had done.
حدثنا أبو إسحق الشافعي إبراهيم بن محمد بن العباس حدثنا سفيان عن عمرو سمع كريبا يقول سمعت
بت عند خالتي ميمونة فقام النبي ﷺ فتوضأ من شنة وضوءا يقلله فقمت فصنعت كما صنع
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Wudu, Chapter on Being Light in Wudu, no. 138, and Muslim in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers, Chapter on the Prophet's Prayer and Supplication at Night, no. 763 and no. 186, both from the hadith of Ibn Uyayna, with this same chain.
