The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "Recite to me."So I recited Surah an-Nisa to him until I reached "How then will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and We bring you against these as a witness?" [Nisa 4:41]I looked at him, and his eyes were overflowing with tears.
حدثنا هناد بن السري حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن علقمة
قال لي النبي ﷺ اقرأ علي فقرأت عليه بسورة النساء حتى إذا بلغت {فكيف إذا جئنا من كل أمة بشهيد وجئنا بك على هؤلاء شهيدا} فنظرت إليه فإذا عيناه تدمعان
