The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Woe to those who amass wealth, except for the one who says with his wealth like this, and like this, and like this, and like this," gesturing four times, to his right, to his left, in front of him, and behind him.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وأبو كريب قالا حدثنا بكر بن عبد الرحمن حدثنا عيسى بن المختار عن محمد بن أبي ليلى عن عطية العوفي
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال ويل للمكثرين إلا من قال بالمال هكذا وهكذا وهكذا وهكذا أربع عن يمينه وعن شماله ومن قدامه ومن ورائه
[Hasan] Busiri said, This isnad is daif due to the weakness of Atiya and the narrator from him. See no. 4123. Amash also narrated it from Atiya with different wordings that are close in meaning (Ahmad 3/52). It has a corroborating witness in Ahmad 2/309, 525, and see the following hadith.
