The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world is the believer's prison and the disbeliever's paradise."
حدثنا أبو مروان محمد بن عثمان العثماني حدثنا عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ الدنيا سجن المؤمن وجنة الكافر
Reported by Muslim in the Book of Zuhd, chapter "The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever," no. 2956, and by Tirmidhi, no. 2324, through the narration of Alaa with this wording, and Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih.
