The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ablution should clear his nose, and whoever uses stones to clean himself should use an odd number."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا زيد بن الحباب وداود بن عبد الله قالا حدثنا مالك بن أنس عن ابن شهاب عن أبي إدريس الخولاني
قال رسول الله ﷺ من توضأ فليستنثر ومن استجمر فليوتر
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Wudu, chapter titled "Blowing Out Water Through the Nose During Wudu," hadith no. 161, and Muslim in the Book of Purification, chapter titled "Blowing the Nose and Cleansing with Stones an Odd Number of Times," hadith no. 237, from the hadith of Zuhri, by this route.
