The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Mahdi is from us, the people of the household. Allah will set him right in a single night."
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو داود الحفري حدثنا ياسين عن إبراهيم بن محمد ابن الحنفية عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ المهدي منا أهل البيت يصلحه الله في ليلة
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it: 15/197, h: 19490, from Hafri through this route, and Fadl bin Dukayn corroborated him, as recorded by Ahmad: 1/84 and others, and it has a daif corroborating narration in Abu Dawud, h: 4290.
