I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Nothing remains of this world except trial and tribulation."

[Its chain is hasan] It was narrated by Ibn Mubarak in Zuhd, p. 211, no. 596, and from his route by Ahmad, 4/94, from the hadith of Ibn Jabir through the same route. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1828, as did Busiri.
