The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the water of the sea, and he said, "Its water is purifying and its dead creatures are lawful to eat."Abu al-Hasan bin Salama said, Ali bin al-Hasan al-Hastajani narrated to us, Ahmad bin Hanbal narrated to us, Abu Qasim bin Abu Zinad narrated to us, Ishaq bin Hazim narrated to me, from Ubaydullah, who is Ibn Miqsam, from Jabir bin Abdullah, that the Prophet ﷺ... and he mentioned something similar.
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا أبو القاسم بن أبي الزناد قال حدثني إسحق بن حازم عن عبيد الله ابن مقسم
أن النبي ﷺ سئل عن ماء البحر فقال هو الطهور ماؤه الحل ميتته قال أبو الحسن بن سلمة حدثنا علي بن الحسن الهستجاني حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا أبو القاسم بن أبي الزناد حدثني إسحق بن حازم عن عبيد الله هو ابن مقسم عن جابر بن عبد الله أن النبي ﷺ فذكر نحوه
