Whenever the Prophet ﷺ lay down to sleep, he would blow lightly into his hands, recite the two surahs of refuge, and wipe his hands over his body.
حدثنا أبو بكر حدثنا يونس بن محمد وسعيد بن شرحبيل أنبأنا الليث بن سعد عن عقيل عن ابن شهاب أن عروة بن الزبير أخبره
أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا أخذ مضجعه نفث في يديه وقرأ بالمعوذتين ومسح بهما جسده
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Quran, Chapter on the Virtue of the Muawwidhat, no. 5748/5017, from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri, through the same chain.
