Its chain is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Supplications, in a chapter titled "Whoever does not ask Allah, He becomes angry with him," hadith no. 3373, from the hadith of Abu Malih, with this wording. It is also found in Musannaf Ibn Abu Shayba (10/200). Hakim said, 1/491, "This is a hadith with a sahih chain."However, Abu Salih Khuzi and Abu Malih Farsi have not been mentioned with any criticism, rather they are counted among the unknown narrators due to the scarcity of their hadith, and this shows Hakim's leniency.Khuzi is weak in his hadith, and his hadith has daif corroborating narrations. See Fath al-Bari, 11/79, and elsewhere.
