The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever holds fast to seeking forgiveness, Allah will grant him relief from every worry, a way out of every hardship, and provide for him from where he does not expect."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثنا الحكم بن مصعب عن محمد بن علي بن عبد الله بن عباس أنه حدثه
قال رسول الله ﷺ من لزم الاستغفار جعل الله له من كل هم فرجا ومن كل ضيق مخرجا ورزقه من حيث لا يحتسب
[Its chain is daif]Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter "On Seeking Forgiveness," hadith no. 1518, from Hisham with this wording. Al-Hakim graded it sahih (4/262), but Dhahabi rejected this, saying, "Hakam is unknown here," and he is indeed unknown, as stated by Hafiz in Taqrib and by Nawawi in Al-Muhaddhab (3/323).
