The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Quran will come on the Day of Resurrection like a pale, gaunt man and will say, 'I am the one who kept you awake through your nights and made you thirsty through your days.'"
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع عن بشير بن مهاجر
قال رسول الله ﷺ يجيء القرآن يوم القيامة كالرجل الشاحب فيقول أنا الذي أسهرت ليلك وأظمأت نهارك
[Its chain is hasan] Citation, Ahmad narrated it, 5/352, from Waki with this chain. Bashir bin Muhajir was deemed reliable by the majority, and his hadith is hasan. His teacher, Abdullah bin Burayda, is reliable. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Tabarani and elsewhere.
