Sourcing (hasan). Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, the teacher of the author, narrated it in Musannaf 3/235, 8, 451, no. 5854, with this wording, and from his route Abu Yaala narrated it, 3/443, no. 1937. The hadith has many corroborating reports, including one in Abu Yaala 5/79, no. 2676, and others, and Haythami graded the hadith of Abu Yaala as hasan, 2/299, 300. It also has another hasan chain of transmission with Tabarani in Awsat 8/163, 164, no. 7329, and others.
