The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by us while we were among a group of women, and he greeted us with the salam.
حدثنا أبو بكر حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن ابن أبي حسين قال سمعه من شهر بن حوشب يقول أخبرته
مر علينا رسول الله ﷺ في نسوة فسلم علينا
[Its isnad is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in al-Adab, the chapter on greeting women with salam, no. 5204, from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba with this chain, and it is found in al-Musannaf 8/446, 447. Tirmidhi graded it hasan, no. 2697. See Nil for further sourcing.
