The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah is gentle and loves gentleness, and He grants through gentleness what He does not grant through harshness."

عن النبي ﷺ قال إن الله رفيق يحب الرفق ويعطي عليه ما لا يعطي على العنف
[Sahih] Nasai narrated it in Kubra, folio 101b, Tuhfat Ashraf: 374/9 (it is missing from the printed edition, from Ismail, with this chain). Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1914. It has corroborating narrations in Muslim, no. 2593, and Abu Yaala, 380/1, no. 490, and others.
