The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hosting a guest for one night is an obligation. If a guest finds himself at someone's doorstep in the morning, then it becomes a debt owed to him. If he wishes, he may claim it, and if he wishes, he may waive it."

قال رسول الله ﷺ ليلة الضيف واجبة فإن أصبح بفنائه فهو دين عليه فإن شاء اقتضى وإن شاء ترك
