The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah enjoins upon you to care for your mothers," repeating it three times. "Allah enjoins upon you to care for your fathers. Allah enjoins upon you to care for your closest relatives, then the next closest."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا إسمعيل بن عياش عن بحير بن سعد عن خالد بن معدان
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن الله يوصيكم بأمهاتكم ثلاثا إن الله يوصيكم بآبائكم إن الله يوصيكم بالأقرب فالأقرب
[Hasan] Ahmad (4/132) reported it from the hadith of Ismail bin Ayyash through this route, and Baqiyyah corroborated him (Ahmad 4/131), and he stated clearly that he heard it directly. It also has a supporting narration from the hadith of Bahz, from his father, from his grandfather. Busiri said regarding the hadith of Ibn Majah, "This chain is sahih."
