The Prophet ﷺ said, "I urge a man to care for his mother, I urge a man to care for his mother, I urge a man to care for his mother," three times. "I urge a man to care for his father. I urge a man to care for the master closest to him, even if he suffers harm from him."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا شريك بن عبد الله عن منصور عن عبيد الله بن علي
قال النبي ﷺ أوصي امرأ بأمه أوصي امرأ بأمه أوصي امرأ بأمه ثلاثا أوصي امرأ بأبيه أوصي امرأ بمولاه الذي يليه وإن كان عليه منه أذى يؤذيه
[Hasan] Ahmad reported it, 4/311, from the hadith of Mansur through him. Tabarani reported it, 4/220, no. 4186, from the hadith of Ibn Abu Shayba through him, and it is found in al-Musannaf, 8/352,353. Ubaydullah bin Ali bin Urfuta is majhul (Taqrib), but his hadith has a corroborating witness with Hakim, 4/150, who graded it sahih, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
