The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Sufyan bin Sahl, do not let your garment hang below your ankles, for Allah does not love those who do so."

قال رسول الله ﷺ يا سفيان بن سهل لا تسبل فإن الله لا يحب المسبلين
[Hasan] Nasai Kubra reported it, 5/488, no. 9704, from the hadith of Yazid through this route, and it is in Musannaf, 8/207, no. 4887, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1449, as did Busiri, and it has corroborating narrations in Ibn Hibban, no. 1450, and elsewhere, and see Nayl Maqsud, no. 4084.
