Ibn Majah 3567

[Hasan] Reported by Tirmidhi, Adab, chapter on what has been said about wearing white, no. 2810, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, and he said, hasan sahih, and Hakim graded it sahih (4/185) according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Thawri clearly stated the hearing with him, while his teacher used the term "an" (indicating uncertain transmission), as mentioned previously at no. 383. His hadith has a corroborating witness with Nasai (Mujtaba, 4/34, no. 1895, and 8/305, no. 5337) and others, and its chain of transmission is hasan.
