Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on the fifth (khumus), in the section on what the Prophet ﷺ used to give to those whose hearts needed winning over, etc., hadith no. 3149, from the hadith of Malik through this chain. Muslim also narrated it in the chapter on zakat, in the section on giving to those whose hearts needed winning over and those whose faith might be at risk if they were not given, etc., hadith no. 1057, from Yunus bin Abdul-Ala through this chain, at greater length.
