The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Kill snakes, and kill in particular the one with two white stripes on its back and the short-tailed one, for these two strike at the eyesight and cause miscarriages."
حدثنا أحمد بن عمرو بن السرح حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال اقتلوا الحيات واقتلوا ذا الطفيتين والأبتر فإنهما يلتمسان البصر ويسقطان الحبل
Takhrij, Bukhari narrated it in Bad' al-Khalq, chapter, "Allah's saying, "and dispersed throughout it every kind of moving creature" [Baqarah 2:164]," hadith no. 3299, as a suspended narration from Yunus, from the hadith of Zuhri with this wording. Muslim narrated it in Salam, in the previous chapter, hadith no. 13/233, from the hadith of Ibn Wahb with this wording.
