The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought milk that had been mixed with water. To his right was a Bedouin Arab and to his left was Abu Bakr. He drank, then gave it to the Bedouin and said, "The one on the right, then the next on the right."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Drinks, Chapter on Starting from the Right Then the Right Again While Drinking, no. 5619, and Muslim in the Book of Drinks, Chapter on the Recommendation of Passing Water, Milk, and Similar Drinks to the Right of the One Who Started, no. 2029, from the hadith of Malik through this same chain, and it is found in Muwatta (Yahya) : 2/926.
