The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A household that has no dates, its people are hungry."
حدثنا أحمد بن أبي الحواري الدمشقي حدثنا مروان بن محمد حدثنا سليمان بن بلال عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ بيت لا تمر فيه جياع أهله
Muslim recorded it in the Book of Drinks, in the chapter on bringing dates and similar provisions home for one's family, hadith no. 2046, from the hadith of Sulayman bin Bilal through this same chain.
