The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Use olive oil as a condiment and apply it to your skin, for it comes from a blessed tree."
حدثنا الحسين بن مهدي حدثنا عبد الرزاق أنبأنا معمر عن زيد بن أسلم عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ ائتدموا بالزيت وادهنوا به فإنه من شجرة مباركة
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Foods, chapter on what has been said about eating olive oil, 1851, from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq, and it is found in Musannaf Abdul-Razzaq, 10/422, hadith 19568, from Mamar, from Zayd, from his father, as a mursal narration. The connected version was graded sahih by Hakim according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, 4/122, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Diya included it in al-Mukhtarah, and the hadith has many corroborating narrations.
