Asma bint Yazid reported,
Food was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he offered some to us. We said, "We do not desire it." He replied, "Do not combine hunger and lying."

Darussalam
Its isnad is hasan. Ahmad narrated it in 6/453 from Waki with this wording. Sufyan bin Uyayna also narrated it (Humaydi, my edition, 369), and Shuayb narrated it, Ahmad 6/458, from Ibn Abu Husayn with this wording. Shahr's status was mentioned previously, hadith 1496. Busiri graded the hadith hasan. It has a corroborating witness in Ahmad and others from the hadith of Asma bint Umays
