The Prophet ﷺ said, "Many men have attained perfection, but none of the women have attained it except Maryam bint Imran and Asiya the wife of Pharaoh. The superiority of Ayesha over other women is like the superiority of tharid over all other foods."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن مرة الهمداني
عن النبي ﷺ قال كمل من الرجال كثير ولم يكمل من النساء إلا مريم بنت عمران وآسية امرأة فرعون وإن فضل عائشة على النساء كفضل الثريد على سائر الطعام
Bukhari reported it in the chapters on the prophets, in the chapter "The saying of Allah Most High, 'And Allah presents an example of those who believed, the wife of Pharaoh...'", hadiths 3411 and 3433, from the hadith of Shubah, with this wording. Muslim reported it in the chapters on the virtues of the companions, in the chapter on the virtues of Khadijah, mother of the believers, may Allah Most High be pleased with her, hadith 2431, from Ibn Bashar, with this wording.
