We passed by Marr az-Zahran when we flushed out a rabbit. The people chased after it but grew exhausted, so I ran after it until I caught it. I brought it to Abu Talha, who slaughtered it and sent its hindquarters and thigh to the Prophet ﷺ, who accepted it.

مررنا بمر الظهران فأنفجنا أرنبا فسعوا عليها فلغبوا فسعيت حتى أدركتها فأتيت بها أبا طلحة فذبحها فبعث بعجزها ووركها إلى النبي ﷺ فقبلها
Bukhari narrated it in "Gifts and Their Excellence and Encouragement Toward Giving Them," chapter "Accepting a Gift of Game," no. 2572, and others narrated it as well, from the hadith of Shubah, through the same route. Muslim also narrated it in "Hunting and Slaughtered Animals," chapter "The Permissibility of Eating Hare," no. 1953/53, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Jafar, through the same route.
