The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever lies about me," I think he said, "deliberately, let him take his seat in the Fire."
حدثنا محمد بن رمح المصري حدثنا الليث بن سعد عن ابن شهاب
قال رسول الله ﷺ من كذب علي حسبته قال متعمدا فليتبوأ مقعده من النار
Sourcing, [sahih] Tirmidhi narrated it, Knowledge, chapter on what has been said about the seriousness of lying about the Messenger of Allah, no. 2661, from the hadith of Layth, with this wording, and he said, This is a hasan gharib hadith, sahih from this angle, from the hadith of Zuhri.
