[Its chain of transmission is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Foods, chapter on eating horse meat, hadith 3790, from the hadith of Baqiyyah, with this wording.Salih bin Yahya is lenient (as noted in Taqrib), and Bukhari said of him, "There is something questionable about him," while Yahya bin Miqdam is obscure. Musa bin Harun al-Hafiz, Bayhaqi, and others declared the hadith daif.
