The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I had previously forbidden you from eating the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, but now eat from it and store it."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال كنت نهيتكم عن لحوم الأضاحي فوق ثلاثة أيام فكلوا وادخروا

Reported by Abu Dawud, in the chapter on sacrifices, in the section on withholding the meat of sacrificial animals, hadith no. 2813, from the hadith of Khalid, with the same wording. Its basis is found in Muslim, hadith no. 1141, and others.Khalid Haddan heard it from Abu Qilaba, as noted in Sahih Muslim and elsewhere.
