My family has driven me to fall short in observance, despite what I have learned of the Sunnah. A household used to sacrifice one or two sheep, but now our neighbors call us stingy.

حملني أهلي على الجفاء بعد ما علمت من السنة كان أهل البيت يضحون بالشاة والشاتين والآن يبخلنا جيراننا
[Its chain is sahih] Bayhaqi transmitted it, 9/269, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri through this route, and Zaidah followed him in narrating it. Busiri graded it sahih, as did Hakim, 4/228, and Dhahabi.
