Its chain is daif. Ibn Hajar reported it in Taghliq Taliq (3/98) through the hadith of Yahya by this route.Note. The hadith of Muhammad bin Tariq from Tawus is mursal (Tuhfat Ashraf, 13/239), while the hadith of Abu Zubayr is musnad, but he narrated it using an ambiguous form (an), h: 395. Bukhari mentioned it without a chain in his Sahih (before h: 1732), and Ibn Hajar said, "The hadith of Ibn Umar (also in Bukhari) and Jabir (Muslim, h: 1218) is to be applied to the first day, while the hadith of Ibn Abbas is to be applied to the remaining days."
