The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to throw the pebbles at the Jamarat after the sun had passed its zenith, timing it so that when he finished throwing, he would pray Dhuhr.
Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi related it in the Book of Hajj, chapter on throwing after the sun had passed its zenith, hadith no. 898, from the report of Hajjaj bin Artah (496, 1129, 2587), from Hakam, in abbreviated form, and he said, "This is a hasan hadith." Jubarah, no. 740, and Ibrahim, no. 1495, have already been mentioned previously. The hadith is sahih without the phrase, "to the extent that when he finished his throwing, he would pray Dhuhr." And Allah knows best.
