The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever enters the state of ihram for Umra from Bayt al-Maqdis, it will be an expiation for all his previous sins."She said, "So I set out from Bayt al-Maqdis for Umra."
حدثنا محمد بن المصفى الحمصي حدثنا أحمد بن خالد حدثنا محمد بن إسحق عن يحيى بن أبي سفيان عن أمه أم حكيم بنت أمية
قال رسول الله ﷺ من أهل بعمرة من بيت المقدس كانت له كفارة لما قبلها من الذنوب قالت فخرجت أي من بيت المقدس بعمرة
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Abu Dawud recorded it in Manasik, chapter on the miqats, no. 1741, through another route from Yahya al-Akhnasi, and see the previous hadith.
