When the Prophet ﷺ intended to enter Mecca for his pilgrimage after Hudaybiyyah, he said to his companions, "Tomorrow your people will see you, so let them see you looking strong."When they entered the Mosque, they touched the Corner and walked at a brisk pace, with the Prophet ﷺ walking with them. When they reached the Yamani Corner, they walked to the Aswad Corner, then walked briskly until they reached the Yamani Corner, then walked to the Aswad Corner. They did this three times, then walked the remaining four rounds.
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى حدثنا عبد الرزاق أنبأنا معمر عن ابن خثيم عن أبي الطفيل
قال النبي ﷺ لأصحابه حين أرادوا دخول مكة في عمرته بعد الحديبية إن قومكم غدا سيرونكم فليرونكم جلدا فلما دخلوا المسجد استلموا الركن ورملوا والنبي ﷺ معهم حتى إذا بلغوا الركن اليماني مشوا إلى الركن الأسود ثم رملوا حتى بلغوا الركن اليماني ثم مشوا إلى الركن الأسود ففعل ذلك ثلاث مرات ثم مشى الأربع
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Reported by Abu Dawud, in the Book of Rites of Pilgrimage, Chapter on Walking Briskly (Ramal), Hadith no. 1890, from the hadith of Ibn Khuthaym, through this same chain.
