The Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced the Black Stone, then placed his lips upon it and wept for a long while. He turned and saw Umar bin Khattab weeping as well, so he said, "Umar, this is the place where tears are shed."

استقبل رسول الله ﷺ الحجر ثم وضع شفتيه عليه يبكي طويلا ثم التفت فإذا هو بعمر بن الخطاب يبكي فقال يا عمر هاهنا تسكب العبرات

Its chain is very daif. Ibn Adi (6/2248) reported it from the hadith of Yaala bin Ubayd through the same route, and Hakim (1/454) graded it sahih, as did Dhahabi. Busiri said, this is a daif chain, Muhammad bin Awn was declared daif by Ibn Main, Abu Hatim, Abu Zura, Bukhari, Nasai and others. Dhahabi said in al-Kashif, they declared him daif. Hafiz said in al-Taqrib, he is matruk (abandoned).
