The Prophet ﷺ said, "Follow up Hajj with Umrah, for following one with the other removes poverty and sins just as the bellows removes impurities from iron."Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba narrated to us, saying Muhammad bin Bishr narrated to us, saying Ubaydullah bin Umar narrated to us, from Asim bin Ubaydullah, from Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabia, from his father, from Umar bin Khattab, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن عاصم بن عبيد الله عن عبد الله بن عامر عن أبيه
عن النبي ﷺ قال تابعوا بين الحج والعمرة فإن المتابعة بينهما تنفي الفقر والذنوب كما ينفي الكير خبث الحديد حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا محمد بن بشر حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر عن عاصم بن عبيد الله عن عبد الله بن عامر بن ربيعة عن أبيه عن عمر بن الخطاب عن النبي ﷺ نحوه
[Sahih]. Humaydi narrated it, no. 17, from Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this chain, and Busiri graded it daif due to the weakness of Asim bin Ubaydullah, no. 907, but the hadith has corroborating witnesses, including the hadith of Ibn Masud, narrated by Tirmidhi, no. 810, who said, hasan sahih gharib, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 2512, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 3685, and the hadith of Ibn Abbas was narrated by Nasai, no. 2631, with a hasan chain of transmission.
