The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us out on a military expedition and said, "Set out in the name of Allah and in the cause of Allah. Fight those who disbelieve in Allah. Do not mutilate the dead, do not act treacherously, do not steal from the spoils, and do not kill a child."

بعثنا رسول الله ﷺ في سرية فقال سيروا باسم الله وفي سبيل الله قاتلوا من كفر بالله ولا تمثلوا ولا تغدروا ولا تغلوا ولا تقتلوا وليدا
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Nasai reported it in al-Kubra: 5/260, no. 8837, from the hadith of Abu Usama through this chain, and Busiri said, "This is a hasan chain of transmission."
