Allah willing, the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Uhud put on two coats of mail, wearing one over the other.
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن يزيد بن خصيفة
إن شاء الله تعالى أن النبي ﷺ يوم أحد أخذ درعين كأنه ظاهر بينهما
[Sahih] Nasai narrated it in al-Kubra, no. 8583, and Tirmidhi in al-Shamail (chapter 14, no. 104) from the hadith of Sufyan through this route. It has another version with Abu Dawud, no. 2590. Busiri graded the hadith sahih according to the standard of Bukhari, and it has a corroborating witness narration with Tirmidhi.
