The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once slept near me, then woke up smiling. I asked, "Messenger of Allah, what makes you laugh?"He replied, "Some people of my nation were shown to me riding upon the surface of this sea like kings upon thrones."She said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them."So he prayed for her, then slept again and did the same as before. She again said as she had said, and he answered her with the same reply as his first.She said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them."He said, "You are among the first."She then set out with her husband Ubada bin Samit on a military expedition, the first time the Muslims went to sea, alongside Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan. When they returned from their expedition and landed in Sham, a riding animal was brought close for her to mount, but it threw her off and she died.
حدثنا محمد بن رمح أنبأنا الليث عن يحيى بن سعيد عن ابن حبان هو محمد بن يحيى بن حبان عن أنس بن مالك
نام رسول الله ﷺ يوما قريبا مني ثم استيقظ يبتسم فقلت يا رسول الله ما أضحكك قال ناس من أمتي عرضوا علي يركبون ظهر هذا البحر كالملوك على الأسرة قالت فادع الله أن يجعلني منهم قال فدعا لها ثم نام الثانية ففعل مثلها ثم قالت مثل قولها فأجابها مثل جوابه الأول قالت فادع الله أن يجعلني منهم قال أنت من الأولين قال فخرجت مع زوجها عبادة بن الصامت غازية أول ما ركب المسلمون البحر مع معاوية بن أبي سفيان فلما انصرفوا من غزاتهم قافلين فنزلوا الشام فقربت إليها دابة لتركب فصرعتها فماتت
