Muhammad, meaning Ibn Abu Layla, reported that she was the maternal sister of Ibn Shaddad. She said, "My master died and left behind a daughter. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided his property between me and his daughter, giving me half and her half."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى عن الحكم عن عبد الله بن شداد

[Its chain of transmission is daif]. Nasai transmitted it in al-Kubra, 4/86, no. 6398, from the hadith of Husayn bin Ali Jafi through this route.Ibn Abu Layla was mentioned earlier, no. 854. Shubah opposed him by narrating from Hakam from Abdullah bin Shaddad through this route as a mursal narration. Abu Dawud transmitted it in al-Marasil, no. 364, and several others followed him in narrating from Hakam through this route. So the hadith is munqati (disconnected), as Bayhaqi stated, 6/241. The hadith has daif corroborating narrations in Bayhaqi and others.
