[Sahih]. Reported by Abu Dawud, Faraid, chapter, "Does a Muslim inherit from a disbeliever," no. 2911, through another route from Amr bin Shuayb, with the same wording. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 967, as did Hafiz Ibn Mulaqqin and others. The hadith has other routes found in Tirmidhi, no. 2108, and elsewhere.
