Saeed bin Saad bin Ubada reported,

Among our dwellings there was a frail, disabled man. Before anyone realized it, he was caught committing a vile act with one of the household's slave-girls. Saad bin Ubada brought his case before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "Flog him a hundred lashes."They said, "Prophet of Allah, he is too weak for that. If we strike him a hundred lashes, he will die."He said, "Then take a palm-branch with a hundred twigs on it and strike him with it once."Sufyan bin Waki narrated to us, Muharibi narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, from Yaqub bin Abdullah, from Abu Umama bin Sahl, from Saad bin Ubada, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.

حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا محمد بن إسحق عن يعقوب بن عبد الله بن الأشج عن أبي أمامة بن سهل بن حنيف

عن سعيد بن سعد بن عبادة قال

كان بين أبياتنا رجل مخدج ضعيف فلم يرع إلا وهو على أمة من إماء الدار يخبث بها فرفع شأنه سعد بن عبادة إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال اجلدوه ضرب مائة سوط قالوا يا نبي الله هو أضعف من ذلك لو ضربناه مائة سوط مات قال فخذوا له عثكالا فيه مائة شمراخ فاضربوه ضربة واحدة حدثنا سفيان بن وكيع حدثنا المحاربي عن محمد بن إسحق عن يعقوب بن عبد الله عن أبي أمامة بن سهل عن سعد بن عبادة عن النبي ﷺ نحوه
