Isnad grading, its isnad is extremely daif.It was narrated by Abu Yaala, 494/11, no. 6618, from the hadith of Waki with this wording, "Avert the prescribed punishments as much as you are able." Busiri declared it daif, and Ibn Hajar said regarding Ibrahim bin Fadl Makhzumi that he is discarded (Taqrib). It has daif corroborating narrations found in Tirmidhi, no. 1424, and Ibn Adi, 233/1, and others.
