The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give the worker his wages before his sweat dries."
حدثنا العباس بن الوليد الدمشقي حدثنا وهب بن سعيد بن عطية السلمي حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن زيد بن أسلم عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ أعطوا الأجير أجره قبل أن يجف عرقه
Sourcing, [sahih], though Yusuri graded it daif. See hadith 238 regarding its defect. It has a corroborating witness with Tahawi in Mushkil Athar, 4/1143, whose chain is sahih, and by which the hadith is established as sahih.
