The Prophet ﷺ bought food from a Jewish man on credit and pawned his armor to him as security.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم حدثني الأسود
أن النبي ﷺ اشترى من يهودي طعاما إلى أجل ورهنه درعه
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Trade, Chapter on buying food on credit until a fixed term, no. 2200, from the hadith of Hafs, and Muslim in the Book of Sharecropping, Chapter on pledges and their permissibility in both residence and travel, no. 1603, from Ibn Abu Shayba.
