I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Indeed, those in the heavens and those on the earth seek forgiveness for the scholar, even the fish in the sea."

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ajurri narrated it in Akhlaq al-Ulama. Uthman bin Ata Khurasani is daif, and likewise his father, and Hafs bin Umar is unknown (Taqrib). It has corroborating narrations, including the previous hadith (223).
