The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no ruqba. Whoever grants something as ruqba, it belongs to the recipient during his life and after his death."He explained, "Ruqba is when a person says, 'This belongs to whichever of us, you or me, dies last.'"

[Sahih] Reported by Nasai, 6:273, chapter of Umra, mention of the differing wordings of the narrators of Jabir's report on umra, no. 3763, from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq, by this route, and it is found in Musnad Abdul-Razzaq, 9:196, no. 16920, in full.Ibn Jurayj explicitly stated that he heard it directly, but Habib did not hear this hadith from Ibn Umar , and the hadith is sahih on the basis of its corroborating reports. See Nail al-Maqsud, no. 3556, and elsewhere.
